This map is available after selecting the Draw a LISA Map Interview and the Set LISA Parameters step, and then selecting Moran’s I from the Parameters Window.
This map computes the degree of correlation between the values of a variable as a function of spatial lags. This is similar to Pearson’s correlation coefficient. It ranges from –1 (- correlation) to 1 (+ correlation), but the expected value is close to 0.
where wij(d) indicates whether pairs are in the same distance class and w(d) is the sum of wij(d).
